My decision to pursue psychotherapy comes from a deep desire to walk alongside others as they navigate the complexities of life. I believe that healing happens in relationships when we feel seen, heard, and accepted just as we are. It is a privilege for me to hold space for my clients and to accompany them through moments of growth and transformation.
In my work, I strive to create a warm, nonjudgmental environment rooted in compassion and curiosity. I draw from psychodynamic therapy, attachment theory, and narrative therapy techniques approaching all sessions with a person-first framework to meet the individual needs of each client.
I have worked with adults facing a wide range of life struggles such as anxiety, overwhelming thoughts or behaviours, relationship difficulties, and the impact of past wounds or harmful patterns. Whatever your story looks like, my role is to walk alongside you offering presence, perspective, and care as we explore what is showing up in your life. Together, we can work toward greater clarity, connection, and ease—on your terms, and at a pace that feels right for you.

50-minute sessions are covered by most extended health insurance policies since John is supervised by Jeff, a Registered Psychotherapist. Check your policy for “psychotherapy” coverage.
